Carl Robinson (co-owner)
Carl has over 20 years experience as a mechanic in top bike shops in Prescott, Tucson, and Flagstaff, AZ, and in Middlebury, VT, where he moved with his family in 2005. A former amateur racer — road and mountain — and stay-at-home father of two, Carl still finds time to join in local rides and adventure races, like the Vermont Overland Maple Adventure Ride. Carl has a degree in Parks and Recreation Management from Northern Arizona University.
Carl’s conviction that cycling for utility and recreation is such a darn good idea that anyone who tries it, will love it, and will inspire others to try it, who will love it, and inspire others — you get the idea — until cycling explodes as an unstoppable force here in the U.S., as it already is in much of the world.
In September 2016, Carl became the Vice President of the Addison County Bike Club (ACBC). Carl hopes to further develop the trails in and around Middlebury, making mountain biking accessible for riders of all ages and abilities.

Chas Lyons (co-owner)
Chas is a bicycle jack-of-all-trades, with experience in virtually every cycling discipline.
Chas grew up in Middlebury and was a customer of The Bike Center (now FHB) from a young age. The son of a local small business owner, he started to repair his own bicycles at age 13. Starting in 1998 Chas joined the staff at The Bike Center working on the sales floor and assisting the mechanics. A self-taught mechanic, his skills were honed here in Middlebury. After a 4 year stint at The Bike Center, he moved on to other endeavors while continuing to fix bicycles as a side job, as well as repairing the local fitness centers spin bikes. Chas spent time at Onion River Sports in Montpelier working as the Bike Shop Manager and Parts Buyer, Nordic Specialist.
Chas has been an avid racer as well, competing in mountain bike, time trialing, cyclocross and triathlon races over the years. In addition, he is a runner and Nordic ski racer and has been a coach at MUHS of the XC, Nordic and Track programs. Chas is involved with the Middlebury Bike Club (now ACBC) since 1998, having served as both President and Treasurer for various periods.
Chas is a certified bicycle fit specialist, trained by both Trek and Specialized in their methods of rider fit services. Chas lives with his wife and daughter here in Middlebury.
Jon Bowdish (head mechanic)
Jon is a local boy born and raised just a few miles outside of Middlebury. While in high school his bike riding turned from just a passion to a competitive side. He began racing Downhill and soon moved up through the levels to Expert. After a few years of racing his riding style morphed into the “if it has two wheels I will ride it” mentality that it is today. You can find him anywhere from the beautiful country roads on his road bike to riding his mountain bike down the ski slopes of the local resorts.
He started his bike shop jobs right here in Middlebury at the Alpine Shop. Since then Jon has worked at multiple shops from the SkiRack in Burlington to shops in Stowe. Jon joined the Frog Hollow Bikes team in 2016, where he has taken on the role of the head mechanic.
With certificates from Specialized Bikes in suspension services, Jon is very comfortable with any suspension job that may roll through the door. But don’t let all of this mountain bike talk fool you, Jon finds himself comfortable with any bike that may come in.
When not fixing or riding bikes Jon can be found spending the days with his wife and daughter out in Weybridge where he resides.
